Proved Entertainment met up with "Jae Baz" of High Living Music in Toronto,Canada. He talked about his new single "Another Woman",What Inspired him to do the song,His upcoming Mix Tape "Agari" The Way of Life,His Old Label OddRuff,His New Family and all Project at hand.

P.E: Please Tell your Fans who's Jae Baz, What you do and how the name came about?
Jae Baz:
Jae Baz aka AGBARI is an Artist from Benin City... Genre is Higher Living Music, Mixture of Hip Life, High Life, Afro Hip Hop Grime...Rock Techno and More. The Name Jae Baz Came about since days of school. Its funny because I was always thought of what you will call a Multi Task Functional Personnel

P.E: When did you start Music, When did you go into Music Professionally and tell us a little about how you got to this skill level?
Jae Baz:
First of all I got to my Skilled Level today just like everyone else who is fully committed to music...its by been in the studio and been very social and most importantly Writing Constantly. I started Music since Childhood But got into it professionally jus almost 2yrs now but I have always thought I was going to be a Lawyer…”Laughs” funny but school was a very serious part of my life growing up but time and growth decide destiny not the day of your Birth.

P.E: Who were some of the people that influenced and shaped you as an artist?
Jae Baz:
Truthfully not alot of people out there really can shaped me but few of the ones I rated since even when I realized I had a passion for music was Paul Ik Dairo, 2face, Eedris Abdulkareem, 2pac like everyoe else who likes agbari and also alot of these gangsta music. But like I said b4 the passion rosed out of me, when I got into it deeply I realized Commercial is music not Agbari. My goal is to Make AGBARI a Way of Living not cursing or saggy jeans anymore because fine boy can be an Agbari,

P.E: What exactly do you mean by the word Agbari? How far do you think your music have gone so far?
Jae Baz:
Agbari..." lol its a word so Strong in the Mouth of anyone who says it. Its a word i just love to use since a slang that means a Rugged way but I have a different meaning for it which is" The Way of Life".If you were Bad and Bad was Bad you can become a good Heart and that will be good for goodness sake and not to impress anyone because we all have both sides but the way of Life for a Man should be strictly principles and Moral Standards. AGBARI Bam Bam means what you say should be final and to be real. I really can't tell how far my music have gone but I can guess its gone far because that word Agbari is so functional among everyone worldwide now. People hit me online or phone calls like Agbari which way and so many of them leave comments like "yes Agbari Confirm". These are people I never met and they are in countries like Indonesia, Dubai and many more.

P.E: When and how did you realize that you were good enough to pursue this as a career? You have a Single Out called "Another Woman" Its doing very well & #1 on alot of Radios...What inspired you to write that song?
Jae Baz:
I first realized I could when I used a Jamaican studio record, If u know these jamo peeps they are really good at criticizing but I am a man who can handle such, then I lived around and among these people for a very long period of time that I know their ways and rules. "I wanted to be a Rasta my self" but then they ever had the guts to diss me as hard as I would expect instead they introduced me to OddRuff. I knew OddRuff through a Jamaican Producer who I still work with till tomorrow. When they boost me up I knew all i needed was the right people around me and the right energy to make it happen until I mastered it and was ready fully, so I ended up signing and the First Official track I recorded was “No be Your Fault” which later on due to Movement plans was given to my right hand and partner in crime “Runs Tee” which I was featured in and the Video is out there making waves around the world. The Single “Another Woman” is a great and very long lasting track which is still very strong to the ears that hear it for almost 2yrs now as well because I recorded same time as “No Be Your Fault” Simple and plain and no disrespect to my lady fans but my girl friend inspired me to write that song whom I’m still proud to say we are still together and yup she is the mother of my next of kin. We are not married yet but we sure plan to do so…”Laugh”

P.E : How come you have never released an album considering the fact that you have recorded alot of tracks with OddRuff in the past couple of years and also a solid Video with Runs Tee "Nor Be Your Fault"
Jae Baz:
Well like the CEO always tell me “the ACE of Spade is always the last to pull its act when all other fail” I guess that’s a good answer to that and also the Benin people say the Best Masquerade dances last. That's what they wanted and that's what I have to follow up with even though I don’t buy the idea but hey na Naija na… We have all the time in the world so Runs Tee's project is the main objective at the moment. Also if I may add, the Released tracks I got out there are jus a taste of what the fans should not expect because i strive for a better bang out tunes like the latest track “Money Don come” which was recorded jus to make my Fans balls bigger… no homo ! “Laughs”

P.E: So are you working on any project right now? What exactly are you working on since you released a Single that have been shaking everywhere from Canada to America to London to Nigeria?
Jae Baz:
Sure Boss, I’m always on something new. If I cant make music I’ll do TV productions and all Radio shows. Sometimes I do stand up poetry and clown around when I really want to be a wanna be comedian. Like I mentioned earlier about the Money don Come track, that’s another street team movement for the UpComing MixTape titled AGBARI "the Way of Life" - My first and Exclusively Confirmed Jae Baz Mix Tape and so far i have recorded tracks like #1 which is talking about what the people want. In quote..."the people don pay to see the entertainer...dem wan rock and wine their waist...dem don pay to come see someone performance... they want the #1 #1 #1..." Simple but strong message. Also tracks like what the Fans are aware of...like “Remember” Ft. Runs Tee. And “Anywhere we dey” also Ft. Runs Tee…

P.E : Since You are working on a Mixtape,When exactly is the Mixtape dropping and how many tracks Mix tape is it? Are you featuring other Artist on the Mix tape?
Jae Baz:
I also plan to Feature a lot of artists out there Like General Tony Goskolo, Cap B of Dem Naija Boys, Ugee, Jarbone, Artists from Ghana, Salone, Zimbabwe and much more. I know I’m from Benin City and rep Edo State But I’m also a Proud African and I show it out to the whole world. The tracks I plan to have on this mix tape project would be up to 22 tracks then 3 bonus tracks which are already in familiarity to the Fan Base “Our Pain, Stay Fly and Another Woman”, The Mix Tape should be dropping by July 13th this year 2010 Which I also plan to drop a Couple of Videos for and Launch as well just like an Album but this na Movement - Linx Men.

P.E: Many People have compared your style of Music with other Nigeria Artist.Which of all this Artist Influence or inspired you as an Upcoming Artist?
Jae Baz:
Well if I may ask, Which artist in Nigeria do i do like? because I for like know “Laugh“ .. just kidding. Well when I met 2face last year though we also met the year b4 ..he never really took a look at me then until I played what I do to him but to my surprise this guy went to Nigeria and now use my slogan “Laugh” I have love for 2Baba but na gukin be that. But then ..i have love and respect for every artist in Nigeria doing their thing and breaking through, its a dream for them or mothers and sisters to see that happen. For influence, no disrespect but I cant listen to Nigerian music to make mine... I would probably end up Gingering my Swagga as well “Laugh” or use vocals that I don’t even know what it means. Its a simple life style that’s what I would call my next project because I want to be able to reach the common man, even babies would sing my Jams. But on a more serious note, For Influence again, i nor know ooo but Level wise...that I would rate a lot of artists for like Naeto C, 5Micz, Faze and surely Franchize, I think Franchize would be in the game for a minute because his lovers rock...He’s just like any other Jamaican cultural Jams. I respect these artists but they don’t influence me thou !

P.E: How are the female fans treating you these days, compared to back in the days since you mentioned earlier that you are taken and she have a child for you already.
Jae Baz:
Well with respect I guess...but dem no dey hear word sha “Laugh” I Love them still but yup I love my woman and respect her wella because she was the first thing I took serious b4 I realized music, so I put her first but never above my Fan. The Lady fans though its a thing where by as an artist you will have to flirt and at times go beyond music, and get personal...I still treat them with the respect they each deserve. If you say they are not like resentful… “Laughs” … dat one na lie !

P.E: Thank You so much for your time Jae Baz, Its been nice talking to you. What else do you have left to tell your Fans and How can they contact you or get to hear more about you?

Also I Thank them Very Much for truly without y'all Jae Baz would just be another Hyper Act Guy Man wey just nor function...I Thank God also for bringing me this Far even though i haven’t even started yet...Like a role model, I want to just be an instrument for ya'll and i want to let it be known that I would be bringing in to this Music industry not to take out...
